RWC World Cup Final Over - Malta Rugby Season Kicks in with Ray Elliott Cup- Gladiators Seniors and Youth 7s 29-30 OctoberThe World Cup is finally over with a hard fought win by New Zealand over France (8-7) . It was a close shave and not
NZs best performance but hard fought and overall the Web Ellis Cup is well deserved by the Kiwis for an outstanding tournament
and indeed season. France were outstanding and it was their best game. For me the team of the tournament was Argentina for
sheer passion , skills and improvement embodying the spirit of Rugby- and for proving once and for all that Rugby Union
is a truely global sport (IRB WAKE UP and stop the obsession with 6 Nations and Tri (now Four) Nations) The

Gladiators U18s gear up for touring sides from the UK . Seniors team formedThis season , undoubtably, the big success story for our club has been the growth of our U18s squad made up of players
aged 14- 17 . Within just a few months they are established as good youth team , giving all opposition a good contest and
we have one of the highest number of active registered members in this catagory. The U18s are
also acting as a "feeder" group for our nascent seniors team, which hopes to debut playing 10s and 7s rugby mid
to end March 2011 . The club , however , needs to do more to develop the U13s, Juniors and minis sections
and we hope to start ladies rugby next season . Between April- July 2011 there will be quite a number of
youth touring sides from the Uk and a ccouple of tournaments , so its criucial Gladiators keep up thier
momentum to take on these challenges , and go on tour themselves!
